Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of Iowa

November 25, 2020
Feeding Iowa Food Drive. Help Donate to those in Hunger We at Ingersoll Animal Hospital are extremely grateful we have been able to stay open and continue to provide curbside veterinary care for our many wonderful families throughout this pandemic, but we know many of our friends, neighbors, and citizens across Iowa are struggling. In response to the growing need for supplies and approaching holiday season, our team is organizing a community food drive to benefit the local nonprofit, Food Bank of Iowa. We hope our fellow animal lovers will consider donating along with us this holiday season. Our wish is to donate 250 items by December 18th and with your help, we can make this happen! The Iowa Food Bank provides nutritious food for Iowa’s children, families, and seniors to lead full and active lives, and strengthens the communities where they live. Their wish list includes:
  • protein (peanut butter, canned meat, canned fish)
  • canned fruits
  • canned vegetables
  • canned soup
  • pasta sauce
  • breakfast items (including cereal)
  • 100% fruit juice
  • fruit products
  • personal care (soap, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)
We’re delighted to accept donations of any size. To make it easier, donations can be dropped off at our drop box (just outside our front door) during operating hours, or retrieved from your car when in for your pet’s visit. If dropping off, please notify us by text at 515-274-3555 so our staff can retrieve items in a timely fashion to avoid freezing. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
