Diagnostics

Imagine how easy it would be to manage the health of our pets if they could simply come to us, explain what was bothering them and show us where it hurt. Then we’d know just what to check for and how to best handle the situation. Unfortunately, our animal friends cannot communicate this way, so recognizing the signs of a health concern and addressing that concern in the most efficient and effective manner can be quite the challenge. That’s where veterinary diagnostics come into play. These tools, such as blood work and x-rays, allow our experienced doctors to take a look inside your pet’s body to learn exactly what’s happening. This provides for a more timely and accurate diagnosis, and subsequently a better outcome for your pet. Ingersoll Animal Hospital offers a broad range of diagnostic services to manage the ongoing health of our patients.

Dentistry

Does your pet have bad breath? Have you noticed a few yellow or broken teeth, or some that are missing altogether? These are all signs that your companion may be suffering from a dental problem, up to and including periodontal disease. If left untreated, dental disease can wreak havoc on your pet’s entire body and even shorten his or her life. The good news is there are things that you can do to help your pet beat the odds and enjoy a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Ingersoll Animal Hospital offers comprehensive, professional pet dentistry services, both routine and advanced, to help stay on top of your companion’s oral health. We’ll even show you ways that you can help your pet maintain a healthy mouth year-round, in between vet visits. Together we’ll have that little guy or gal smiling pretty for life!

Laser Therapy

Over the past few decades, great strides have been made with regards to how we treat and manage various medical conditions in pets, such as arthritis and chronic pain. One such advancement has been the use of the therapeutic laser. This innovative technology uses a high intensity beam of light to instantly and painlessly target areas of the body that are experiencing pain, have suffered some type of trauma, or require healing. Laser therapy is highly effective in reducing pain and inflammation, improving flexibility and mobility, and speeding up the healing process following surgery or injury. Ingersoll Animal Hospital is pleased to offer laser therapy as an additional option for managing your pet’s ongoing good health.

Behavioral Counseling

Companion animals act out for a number of reasons. Sometimes it’s because they weren’t trained properly. Other times it’s a way to get attention. Whatever the reason, unwanted behavior can drive a wedge between you and your four-legged friend and make it difficult to embrace them as part of the family. If you’re struggling with bad pet behavior, we want you to know you’re not alone. More importantly, we want you to know that we can help! The team at Ingersoll Animal Hospital is trained and experienced in understanding companion animal behavior. We’ll get to the bottom of why your furry friend is acting out and help to develop and implement a plan for addressing and overcoming that behavior problem once and for all. Let’s work together to restore peace and balance back into your home.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a series of manual manipulation techniques used to improve a patient’s physical and emotional well-being. Physiological benefits of massage include pain relief, improved joint mobility, relaxation and increased circulation. Many people also find that massage deepens the bond between owner and pet. Each massage therapist on staff has completed at least 200 hours of training and is either certified or in the process of being certified through the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage.
